Simple Intro

This course concentrates on developing the skills of the graduate-students and enhancing their ability in mathematical research and its applications. The students are divided in groups each of 3-4 students.

The projects target two applications:

1- Biological systems (infectious diseases, interacting Species) or

2- Physical systems (Quantum– nonlinear optics).

The systems are analyzed theoretically and numerically using Maple/ Mathematica or Matlab according to the level of group’s knowledge.

Each student is handed a “contract form” which defines her responsibilities, rules and rights. Each group votes for a leader, a vice and a motivator (within).

Seminars (at least 2) are given to the Dept-members/students within the semester.  A final (official) project’s discussion is assigned with an internal examiner and the supervisor.
